My Garden Diary Post June 5th 2010

Hi Everyone ***

Today is one of the Hottest I've seen .. the Humdiity for Central Florida,
is 100% ... Ouch ... thank Heavens I have Air ... and can get somethings done
during the heat of the day inside .. but before it got just too hot .. I did get
a few things done ... outside*

I checked out the Plants of course and there all doing Great except the one
Lavender plant did not make it .. do to the heat it seems .. the other one is
trying to come out in a flower .. but it's fighting a battle to just stay alive
with the heat of the sun ...

I was mistaken on the type of peppers I got .. I had thought I'd gotten
Mammoth Green Bell Pepper .. but no that's not what I got in real time ... it
turned out I got Mammoth Jalopino peppers .. You can not see how Happy my
Husband is since he Just Loves All Hot Peppers ... *** VBS*** Oh well I'll just
have to start planting some ***

Followup to Grandmothers request for Gulf of Mexico

Grandmothers Message: Stand Together

After we sent out the urgent plea from the Grandmothers, asking people to
work with the Net of Light in the Gulf of Mexico we were flooded with
emails. Sincere people, desperate people, those wanting to be of service to
Mother Earth and all life--to not be overcome by fear. These heartfelt
letters prompted this question to the Grandmothers

"Grandmothers," I asked, "what can we do to maximize our strength and stand
steady at this time while fear and upheaval rock our world?"

*?Listen to us,?* they said and I gave them my full attention. I watched and
waited and soon saw what seemed to be a totem pole. Straight and commanding,
carved animals rose from one another?s shoulders. The pole climbed high to
the sky. Each animal was entirely itself, its strength was evident as it
embodied its own unique qualities. The animals below supported the ones

UK Election Results In A Hung ParliamentThe UK election result is a hung parliament, as suspected. While the term itself may avail itself to juvenile humor, a hung parliament is really not that funny. The last time a General Election resulted in a hung parliament, it took 8 months and a special election to fix. I'll be giving a free brush up on what the terms mean, so you won't have to give me any instant cash to do so. (Well, you are able to if you want to.)

The largest known monolith of Aztec earth goddess Tlaltecuhtli will go on show for the first time next month in Mexico City, the National Institute of Anthropology and History has said.

The giant stone was found during renovations almost four years ago on a house near the Templo Mayor, the most famous Aztec temple in the heart of the Mexican capital, an INAH statement said.

Weighing 12 metric tonnes and measuring 4.19 meters (13.7 feet) by 3.62 meters (11.8 feet), the monolith is "the only Mexican sculptural piece that conserves its original colors," the statement said.

5th Century BC Swastika Found in Bulgaria

The Swastika is one of the oldest symbols found on Bulgarian soil during archeology excavations near the village of Altimir, in the northern Vratsa Region.

Swastika found in Bulgaria during archeology excavations is a century old symbol and has nothing to do with Adolph Hitler and the Third Reich.
The precious find, along with 70 other objects, is on display at the Regional Museum in the city of Vratsa, Darik radio reports Wednesday.

The exhibit is titled "Gods, Symbols, and Ancient Signs" and will be opened for a month from now.

The symbol was also found in Bulgaria during the times of the Roman Empire on a fibula, and during the Middle Ages as a cross with bent arms. Swastika in Bulgaria can be seen in one of the oldest churches in the Black Sea town of Nessebar and at the "Saint Sofia" church.

Israeli archaeologists say workers have uncovered an ancient pagan altar while clearing ground for construction of a hotly disputed hospital emergency room in Ashkelon.

They say the discovery proves an ancient cemetery at the site that has been at the center of protests by ultra-Orthodox Jews does not contain the graves of Jews.

The Sidhe (fairy folk) were thought to be a race of small people, driven into hiding by the coming of humans. They went underground, living in ancient barrows and cairns.

Rustic and fanciful fairy houses, maypole dancing, May baskets and fairy cakes celebrated springtime in New England yesterday at the Doyle Conservation Center.

It was Marie T. Martin’s idea to hold a May Day Fairy House Tour at the center.

“It’s an Irish tradition in my family, and I’ve been making them since I was a little girl; playing in nature. I wanted to raise my daughter the same way; she loved the fairy stuff when she was young,” said Ms. Martin, a local high school teacher.

Last week My Hubby and Myself put into pots
Plants we did bought at Lucas Nursery in Ovedo,FL a few days ago..
My Hubby just Loves his Hot Pepper Plants so he was so very
happy to find the four Tabasco plants he planted this morning,
I've not seen him so happy in a long time .. he'd even gone out
to the Sanford Airport I guess there's a cow pasture out in that
area and went up to the fence and got some dried cow paddies,
which he added to the soil I'd refreshed with some Jungle Growth
potting soil (can be found at Lowes here in Florida), and he had
found a bag of leaves that someone had racked and put in a bag
on the side of the street... he had added so much of the oak
leaves I had to push some away from the bottom of the plants
since they have baby leaves on the bottoms ... ...

Myself I put my four Strawberry plants in my two long cypress
boxes I bought two years ago .. I've found the roundish cypress
